2005 CONSULTING REVIEWTRAINING REVIEWDESIGN REVIEW

2005 started with the completion of an 80+ page publication for Orkney Islands Council.

OIC Brochure

The artwork was completed just in time before Peter had to go south to Edinburgh for a cataract operation on his right eye. The other eye was then operated on in early April, which was a great relief to be able to see clearly again, just in time to start the Southend Airshow brochure.

Following the success of the Southend show, text and photographs were supplied to the producers of publications for several other airshows throughout the UK.

Once again, the congregations of the three kirks of Westray commissioned us to produce a new leaflet for visitors, to replace the old one.

Scapa Flow Leaflet

A huge undertaking in June was the co-ordination and artwork for a new brochure to publicise Scapa Flow, its heritage and environment. The leaflet fits in with two new films which are being produced over two years, and a web site.

The new brochure for Ocean Islands Adventures was delivered in January. A visit to the islands in summer by the Proud Seahorse, caused a particular stir in Westray when it anchored in the harbour on its maiden voyage as a cruise vessel.

The Ocean Island Adventures web site went live in December 2005.

The Education Department’s Children’s Services commissioned Seabridge to do more small brochures, keeping them in the corporate style we have already established. Below are some examples.

Scottish Natural Heritage commissioned Edwin Rendall, an artist and farmer born and bred on Westray, to illustrate a publication to explain the new rules on access to the countryside. Seabridge provided the expertise to turn the illustrations and text into a printable booklet.

Sister companies Orkney Self- Catering and Atlantis Lodges, both very well established businesses based in Finstown, asked Seabridge to work on their corporate image, to update their web site and create new promotional brochures. The brochures follow the same format that we used for Ocean Island Adventures, all being companies belonging to Reid Marine. The new web sites are planned to go live in December 2005.
