2004 was the busiest year I can remember. So many varied projects were
undertaken, with some delivered in print form and others via the web. Not
all were completed before the end of the year so they will appear in next
year’s review.
The Captain’s Galley publicity was
completed early in the year, with menu inserts designed to be printed in
house. A set of 12 postcards was produced and has proved very popular with
customers. One very popular promotional tool is a gift voucher which customers
can buy for varying amounts. We wish Jim Cowie every success with his restaurant
in the coming years.
Ocean Island Adventures are about to begin
their cruises round the north isles of Orkney, and we have been busy designing
the new web site with attendant publicity material.

Westray Tourist Association this year decided to upgrade its brochure, with a new format of eight pages folding to 1/3 A4.

Westray Development Trust has completed five years of its programme and we were asked to design and print a new Development Plan. This took the form of a B5 brochure with a gatefold and 12 pages inside. It has been well received by the relevant funding bodies and the Scottish Executive.
Again airshow programmes more than filled the time between March and August, with Southend first, and ending with Southport as before, but in addition this year Edinburgh asked us to supply photographs and editorial for their event in July.

The Sebay Mill updated its brochure this year, and to finish what has been a very successful season, a Christmas card was produced from a large oil painting of the mill in the snow, which I painted over the summer – not an easy task when the sun is shining and hot outside.

The Wick Society asked us to produce a small flyer for the Wick Heritage Museum, and in addition asked for us to redesign the souvenir brochure, this time with a colour cover. It is proving to be a popular item with the public.
